PROJECTS IN COURSE

- New conceptualization of the so called endogenous diseases in psychiatry. Inspired by the Greek concepts of logos and thymos, schizophrenic disorders are seen as logopathies, whereas mood and anxiety disorders are seen as thymopathies. The fundaments of this new way of conceiving mental disorders are multiple: historical, clinical, evolutionary and philosophical. The results of these researches have been partly published in both national and international scientific journals.

- Responsible investigator of the research project “From the pheno-phenotype to the endo-phenotype. Potential phenomenological markers for schizophrenia.” It deals with a wide multi-centric study, in which the group of Giovanni Stanghellini, from Italy, also participates.
